Although it was a little overcast it didn't dampen their enthusiasm for a good day out on their private tour around the Marlborough. My Guests arrived on the Azamara a smaller Cruise Ship in Picton yesterday. A drive around Port Underwood stopping off at various bays along the way. As a couple of my Guests loved art, we changed the itinerary around and headed for The Gallery at Havelock...where yes one of my Guests took a fancy to a particular painting...and getting it shipped over to the USA...He was very thankful for the change of plan...the beauty of flexible touring!

Yesterday I met a lovely family visiting from Canada who were on the Cruise ship Crystal Symphony and their hearts were set on a few specific vineyards in the Marlborough Region. Their first stop were the Wairau River Wines with a great selection and a range of awards throughout #NewZealand and then onto Hans Herzog for a wine tour and a few more samples. Twelve Trees restaurant for lunch and a few more wines.... and finished off at Cloudy Bay...with a few purchases....and yes more wine!...A great day had by all!#PureNewZealand

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting and touring with some lovely people from Florida and Texas in the USA. They had arrived on the Ovation Of The Seas, one of the larger cruise ships. The sun was out, as we made our way on a short sightseeing trip around Picton for a few short walks and an unexpected visitor decided to hitch a ride (Bella the dog...a local)...lots of laughs! The Marlborough Flyer Train trip to Blenheim was a hit as well! They loved their day out and private tour around the Marlborough and I wish you all the best for future travels and happy sailing around New Zealand.

Today we were just ahead of the storm, as we left Auckland wet and windy, but didn't dampen the spirits of my guests, as they joined a guided tour at Hobbiton which they thoroughly enjoyed. We stopped off at Tirau and the Tin Shed for a little retail therapy before heading to Rotorua and tomorrow..... hopefully a little more sun!

This private tour from Picton is becoming very popular with guests from the USA. In such a short space of time we try and give our visitors a good taste of what New Zealand has to offer. The extremes of our weather - fine, 2 days ago and my guests today braved the elements and were still smiling at the end of their tour..lots of laughs and yes another "Kiwi" Ice Cream.

Today I was fortunate to be on a cruise ship shore tour with a lovely couple from Florida in the USA, visiting Picton off the Seabourne Cruise Ship. We made our way through the Marlborough vineyards and specifically Yealands Estate which is more than unique!. They enjoyed their experience tasting some of our fine wines, a good Kiwi Ice Cream along the way and loved their mussels and fish n' chips at Havelock. Another great day on tour in New Zealand.

This weekend it was a short tour down to Christchurch to catch the Sol3Mio Concert held in Hagley Park. My Guests on board have followed these guys for over 7-8 years so true fans! I was fortunate to join them and what a great night. We spent a day down in Akaroa admiring the stunning coastal scenery and the Pohutukawa out everywhere - a stunning time to tour in NewZealand.

Well what more can I say that this part of the West Coast of New Zealand is absolutely stunning. So much to offer in the natural bush with incredible short walks in New Zealand to please everyone. The Nikau walkway is spectacular, not to mention the spectacular caves which would be a Geologists dream. This private tour is a must do!
